The International Sport Aviation Museum & Aviation Center continues with its commitment for growth, with the goal to have an expanded facility by the year 1998. The new International Sport Aviation Museum & Aviation Center will serve as the venue for greater involvement and outreach so vital to the world of sport aviation and provide the foundation for future development focusing on the “Dynamics of Sport Aviation.”
The second phase in this growth is envisioned to complete the final step in the process of evolution toward a full International Sport Aviation Museum and Aviation Education Center, addressing the needs of the 21st century.
The International Sport Aviation Museum and Aviation Center will consist of 100,000 square feet of display, restoration, educational, and administrative spaces. A four-story, central core facility will be joined with the Museum Exhibit Wing to house a variety of aviation displays and aviation artifacts with emphasis on sport aviation.
An Educational Complex consisting of theater, classrooms and research facilities structured to meet the information-based society of the future will complement an expanded library and conference center. The Aviation Center will have administrative and office support areas and an expanded museum gift shop and book store.
